New Delhi: Former football superstar and icon Pele graced Kolkata on Monday as India had its stint with the best player ever.
The 74-year-old Brazilian felicitated members of the Mohun Bagan team which had played against him by handing over mementos and shawls, and took part in a chat session with former Indian cricket captain Sourav Ganguly. Academy award winning music composer A.R. Rahman and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee were also present at the Netaji Indoor stadium.
It was truly a memorable moment when Pele alongside music maestro A R Rahman and Sourav Ganguly posed for photographs during a glittering ceremony. Rahaman performed the 'Happy birthday' jingle. Pele spoke in length about Indian football and also said he thanked God for this day.
