JCT beat Viva Kerala 1-0 for their maiden win

Ludhiana: Rattled by a spate of defeats, JCT somewhat restored their campaign with a 1-0 win, their maiden of the league, over Viva Kerala in a sixth round I-League match at the Guru Nanak Stadium here on Wednesday.

After a goal-less first half, Maninder Singh, with a solo effort, broke the deadlock three minutes into the second half.

JCT came to this match on the back of four defeats and a draw. The Punjab outfit managed a point in their last match against Churchil Brothers.

JCT`s Omaiaja N Kareem of was declared Man of the Match for his impressive display.

Both JCT and Viva Kerala now have four points each from
six matches.
