An Argentine football fan was shot dead and five others were injured during a fight between rival hooligans on the outskirts of Buenos Aires.

Rio de Janeiro: An Argentine football fan was shot dead and five others were injured during a fight between rival hooligans on the outskirts of Buenos Aires.
The incident occurred 15 minutes before the first division match between Lanus and Old Boys at the Nestor Diaz Perez stadium Saturday, reported Xinhua.
Witnesses said paramedics were called after rival supporters exchanged gunfire in front of the stadium`s main entrance.
Police confirmed nine people had been arrested and three firearms seized.
According to anti-violence lobby group Salvemos al Futbol, the death was the fourth suffered by Argentinian football fans this year.
Lanus won Saturday`s match 1-0 against Mariano Pavone.
