Liverpool agree to sell Arbeloa to Real Madrid

London: Liverpool have reached an agreement for the transfer of defender Alvaro Arbeloa to Spain`s Real Madrid, the Premier League club said."We have agreed a fee with Real Madrid for the transfer of the player, subject to him completing a medical," a spokesman said on the club website.

The Spanish international right back will return to Madrid after originally joining them as a 16-year-old from Real Zaragoza. Arbeloa, 26, joined Liverpool in 2007 from Deportivo La Coruna. Bureau Report
