Kolkata: The sale of tickets for the Lionel Messi-starrer friendly match between Argentina and Venezuela at the Salt Lake Stadium here on September 2, will begin on Friday with a base price of Rs 700.
Tickets can be booked online at www.bookmyshow.com and a counter will also be set up at Mohammedan Sporting ground from August 3, the event managers said in a release.
The denomination of the tickets for the high profile match will be of Rs 700 and Rs 1000 in the upper tier.A seat in the premium VIP gallery located in the middle tier will cost either Rs 3590 (VIP 1) or Rs 5120 (VIP 2) respectively.
In the lower tier, prices will be Rs 1550, Rs 1860 and Rs 2570 (block C) and middle tier Rs 2060 and Rs 2470, a statement from the organisers said.
The organisers of the match proposed Rs 1,000 as the base price, but it seems after the West Bengal government`s request it was brought down to Rs 700.
The state government is planning to introduce dedicated family blocks where tickets would be available at a discounted price to make the match more affordable.
