Rafa Benitez to leave Napoli: Reports

New Delhi: Former Valencia, Liverpool, Inter and Chelsea manager Rafa Benitez will be leaving Serie A side Napoli next week, claimed reports on Thursday.

Benitez, who is expected to join Spanish giants Real Madrid, will be ending a two-year spell with Napoli.

Benitez's Napoli play Lazio at home on Sunday in their final game of the Italian domestic season. During his two-year reign he won two titles with the Italian side.

Benitez, who has enjoyed a successful career as a manager leads the race to join Real as their new coach.

He will possibly be replacing Carlo Ancelotti, who led Real to their 10th Champions League title last season and three other trophies to enjoy a dream term. After failing to win a single trophy this term, Ancelotti was sacked by Real last week.

The Italian is expected to take a year off and come back fresh. But reports claim that a host of big clubs are trying to lure Ancelotti.

Benitez will be expected to break Barcelona's domination in Spain and win La Liga. But other names including former Borussia Dortmund coach Jurgen Klopp and Sevilla boss Unai Emery are also in contention for the job.
