Barcelona: Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo may be set for time on the sidelines after spraining his shoulder in his side`s 2-2 draw with Barcelona on Sunday night.
The former Manchester United man was in fine form bagging a double to ensure his team did not leave the Camp Nou empty-handed. But the night ended in disappointment for the 27-year-old after picking up an injury. Early in the second half, Ronaldo fell to the ground and was visibly left in pain but the Portuguese star did finish the match though tests after the game revealed the injury. The extent of the damage to his shoulder is not yet known with further scans expected. The Portugal captain may now miss his national team`s upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Russia and Northern Ireland on October 12 and 16, respectively. Goal.com
