Tahira scripts India`s win over Hong Kong

New Delhi: Tahira Bhatti yet again proved a saviour for the hosts as India beat seventh seed Hong Kong 2-1 in their last league match of the Asia/Oceania qualifying in the junior Fed Cup, on Sunday.

Jasmine Kaur Bajaj yet again lost the first singles with a scoreline of 2-6 1-6 against Eudice Wong Chong.

Tahira, who is in terrific form, then drew parity by beating Wing Man Vivian Lin 6-4 6-4.

India won the tie when Tahira and Snehadevi Reddy got a walkover from IP Cheng Katherine and Lin.

India had beaten Malaysia and Uzbekistan in the earlier league matches.
