Tevez’s return won’t disrupt City’s title bid: Lescott

Manchester City midfielder Joleon Lescott believes Carlos Tevez’s return won’t disrupt City’s title bid this season.

London: Manchester City midfielder Joleon Lescott believes Carlos Tevez’s return won’t disrupt City’s title bid this season.
Lescott said Tevez’s return would be good for the team and no one in the dressing room sees him as a problem. “No one here sees Carlos as a disruption. If we can all get together and push in the same direction, I am sure it``s a positive for the club,” Lescott reportedly said. “With us, Carlos has never been an issue, and we are confident that if he does get his chance, he will score a lot of goals,” he said. He urged City fans to support Tevez again with full plight. City fans haven’t really missed Tevez and supported manager Roberto Mancini during the whole Tevez Saga. “It would be a bit harsh. You need to appreciate what Carlos has done for the club over the last two years. Obviously Carlos hasn``t been here for the last few months but that``s an issue the club has dealt with,” he added. Tevez is expected to meet manager Roberto Mancini for talks about his future on Thursday with the Argentine said to be confident he can return to action within a fortnight. Bureau Report
