London: Chelsea captain John Terry is set to be offered a lucrative offer by Middle Eastern clubs following the uncertainty over his future at the Blues.
According to sources, the 150,000 pounds-a-week Terry, who regularly holidays with his family in Dubai, can be afforded by a few clubs in the United Arab Emirates, adding that his signing will be a massive coup in the UAE. The sources further said that clubs like the current UAE Pro-League champions Al-Ain and the Al Jazira Sports Company, whose chairman Sheikh Mansour tried to sign Terry for Manchester City in 2009, are some of the names waiting eagerly for an opportunity to sign on a contract with the Blues` centre back. Terry’s former England manager Sven Goran Eriksson, currently a sporting director at Al Nasr, is also eyeing him for a new deal, the sources added. Although the defender still dreams of ending his career at Chelsea, he has been relegated down the pecking order by Blues’ interim manager Rafael Benitez, who is yet to open new deal talks with Terry.
