Forza Azzurri!! #quintastella— GIUSEPPE ROSSI (@GiuseppeRossi22) June 2, 2014

Rossi finished the 2013-14 Serie A season as Fiorentina`s top scorer with 16 goals in all competitions despite missing four months through injury. Citing technical reason, the striker was left out of the 2010 World Cup squad by Marcello Lippi. He then also missed the 2012 Euro with an injury to his right knee. Hence this is the third successive time that Rossi has been left out of a major tournament for Italy.
