Paris: Zambian international duo Stoppila Sunzu and Nathan Sinkala have joined French Ligue 1 outfit Sochaux from Tout Puissant Mazembe in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
The duo will be reunited at the Stade Bonal with Herve Renard, the current Sochaux coach who led Zambia to glory at the Africa Cup of Nations in 2012. Midfielder Sunzu, 24, scored the winning penalty in the shootout as Zambia beat the Ivory Coast in Gabon in the 2012 CAN final. Sunzu will sign a three-and-a-half-year contract, while Sinkala will join on a loan deal that could become permanent. Their arrivals follow on from the signing of Ghanaian international forward Jordan Ayew on loan from Marseille until the end of the season.
