Pennsylvania: Arjun Atwal failed to break par for the second successive day and settled for a modest one-over 71 to slip six rungs to tied 20th after the penultimate round of the AT&T Nationals golf tournament.
Playing on a sponsor`s exemption courtesy good friend and practice partner Tiger Woods, the Orlando-based Indian, who led the pack after the opening round, totals one-under 209 in three rounds. It was a largely uneventful day for Atwal and he closed the front nine even-par after slotting one birdie against a bogey. Atwal failed to fetch any birdie in the back nine and ended up dropping a stroke on the 11th hole to round off another over-par day. Englishman Justin Rose led by a formidable four strokes after 67 in the third round left 10-under 200 overall. Swede Carl Pettersson (65) and Charlie Wi (70) occupied the second spot. PTI
