Gangjee makes cut at Wichita Open in NationwideWichita (USA): Rahil Gangjee nearly put himself out of the tournament with three bogeys in a row on the front nine but made a stunning come back over the last 10 holes to squeeze inside the cut line at the Wichita Open, here.

Gangjee carded one-under 70 with the help of four birdies on the back-nine and at four-under 138, he was placed tied 56.

He just made the cut, which came at four-under 138.

Gangjee, whose 68 gave him tied 31st place in the first round, bogeyed the fourth, fifth and sixth, but a birdie on ninth saw him gain confidence at the turn.

He then birdied the 11th, 14th and 18th, the last one being the real life-saver as he extended his stay for the week.

Jim Herman, who missed the cut at last week?s US Open added a 64 to the first round 66 to take lead in the tournament at the Crestview Country Club.

Herman`s bogey-free 12-under 130 for the first 36 holes gave him a two-shot lead over Joseph Bramlett and Robert Damron, former winner on PGA Tour.

Six players including first round leader Casey Wittenberg (70) are at nine-under 133 and three off the leader.
