Malmo: Swedish teenager Marcus Kinhult became just the second amateur to lead a European Tour event at the halfway stage as he shared first place with compatriot Jens Dantorp after two rounds at the Scandinavian Masters.
Kinhult, whose round started on the back nine, follows in the footsteps of Aaron Pike, who led the Australian Masters -- then a European Tour event -- as an amateur after two rounds in 2007.
"I`m pretty happy with my score and where I am in the tournament. Today was more of a solid round from tee to green and I made two big putts, but my putting wasn`t as good as it was yesterday. My game feels good at the moment," said Kinhult.
Dantorp also followed up an opening 67 with a 68 and the pair lead by two shots from Germany`s Maximilian Kieffer and another Swede, Sebastian Soderberg, going into the weekend.
Sweden`s world number four Henrik Stenson is two under for the tournament after a second-round 72.
