Volvo World Golf Challenge from June 2

Chandigarh: The first-leg of the `Volvo World Golf Challenge` will be played at the Chandigarh Golf Club here on June 2.

Amateur golfers from the corporate and industrial world will participate in the tournament following the PGTI Players Championship. Apart from Chandigarh, the tournament will be held at New Delhi, Mumbai, Coimbatore, Hyderabad, Kochi and Pune. The two best-placed finishers from India will play at World final in January 2013. "An added attraction to this tournament is the winner`s trophy. Each trophy is a hand-made work of art by talented blown glass artist Atul Bakshi. Atul`s creation beautifully cascades Volvo`s Scandinavian style and design elements," said Sudeep Narayan, Marketing & PR Director, Volvo Auto India. PTI
