IPL fixing: Supreme Court adjourns hearing till March 27
New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Tuesday adjourned the hearing on the Indian Premier League (IPL) betting and match-fixing case till March 27. The apex court made its observation after examining the report submitted to it by a probe panel headed by retired Justice Mukul Mudgal in the IPL fixing case.
Posting the case for next hearing on March 27, the apex court observed that for a fair probe into the IPL fixing case, N Srinivasan should step down as the BCCI chief.
The order was pased by a two-member Supreme Court bench comprising Justice AK Patnaik and Justice Fakkir Mohamed Ibrahim Kalifulla, which examined the details of the inquiry reports submitted by the Justice Mukul Mudgal committee on betting and match-fixing in the 2013 edition of lucrative IPL.
