Olympics Tennis: Paes-Sania vs Azarenka-Mirnyi match to resume on Saturday

After a delayed start, bad light and rain have caused the match to be stopped for the day. It will now be resumed on Saturday.

London: After a delayed start, bad light and rain interrupted the mixed doubles tennis quarterfinal match between the Indian pair of Leander Paes and Sania Mirza and the Belarusian pair of Max Mirnyi and Victoria Azarenka on Friday.
When the match was stopped, Mirnyi and Azarenka were in good rhythm leading 7-5, 3-2 (on serve in the second set). Paes-Mirza held their serve till the 10th game of the first set and their serve was broken in the 12th game which Mirnyi-Azarenka won to wrap up the first set. In the second set, the Indian pair broke their Belarusian opponents in the third game but the top seeded pair broke back immediately to level the proceedings. When bad light stopped play, the Indian pair was supposed to serve. With PTI inputs
