86th minute: Mexico’s hero of the day Oribe Peralta is taken off to huge cheer from the crowd. He has done his job and his team, his fans should be extremely proud of his effort.
Marco Fabian took a freekick from the right flank which neatly landed over Peralta who did the rest. Mexico are cruising to their first Olympic gold!
75th minute: GOOOAAALLL! Mexico are now leading by 2-0. Brilliant header by O. Peralta, he is weaving magic in the crucial match for his side.
69th minute; Mexicans are denied a second goal as Oribe Peralta shot is off-side.
64th minute: The Mexicans have given away the opportunity to take a 2-0 lead. They won’t get a much easier opportunity to score. They just had to target the goal post, Marco Fabian failed as he hit the bar. Brazil should consider themselves extremely lucky!
58th minute: Yellow card for I Jimenez
57th minute: Winger Aquino is taken off and in comes Miguel Ponce.

In the 45th minute, Brazil once again created an opportunity but couldn’t convert it to a goal. They are taking their chances and are slowly getting in the rhythm.

The Brazilian players are slowly looking to create opportunities for themselves. In the 40th minute, they managed to breach the Mexican defence but couldn’t score a goal.
