The British crew of Alex Gregory, Peter Reed, Tom James and Andrew Triggs-Hodge won in a time of six minutes 3.97 seconds, with Reed, James and Triggs-Hodge all winning gold for the second Olympics in succession. Britain took the lead early on and clung on for the rest of the race despite a strong challenge from Australia, who finished 1.22 seconds behind, while bronze went to the United States. IANS
