Indore: India`s top cueist Pankaj Advani cracked the highest century break of the tournament as he sailed into the pre-quarterfinals of the ongoing Asian snooker championship.
Advani constructed his second century break in the event by posting 129, the highest so far, in the second frame of the game against Hiroshi Matsumura of Japan and won 4-0 (96-44 129-01 72-05 66-08). This was Advani`s third consecutive victory in the tournament after he defeated Sergelan Batdelger of Mongolia with an identical scoreline.The 25-year-old Bangalore-based Advani will lock horns with Yuttapop Pakpoj of Thailand in the last league fixture from Group B. Other Indians I H Manudev, Aditya Mehta and Kamal Chawla also made it to the round of 16 from their respective groups.However Manan Chandra and Lucky Vatnani suffered two consecutive defeats to virtually bow out of the competition.
