garnered 31 points to power Lions to their second straight
victory, an exciting 78-70 win over Prince, in the Lakadawla
Developers-Mastan YMCA Basketball Professional League on Tuesday.
In another men`s match, Riders staged a fightback in the
last two quarters to pip Kings 67-66.
Lions, thus, have two wins from Group A, while Riders
have one win and a loss. For Kings, it was their second loss,
while the fourth team in the group, Prince, also have a one
win, one loss record.
Also putting up a fine show was international Geethu
Anna Jose for Super Girls. She scored 28 points to lead her
team to a one-sided 78-49 win over Wonder Girls, their second
on the trot.
Geethu was in great form, her drive-ins and fade away
shots working effectively at close quarters. Her show was
supplemented by Smruthi K, who scored 18 points, her all round
game earning her the best player award.
