New Delhi: Ace Indian shuttler Saina Nehwal on Sunday, beat Japanese Akane Yamaguchi in the summit clash to win her maiden China Open Super Series Premier.

Nehwal wrapped up the game in 43 minutes as she beat her opponent in straight sets 21-12, 22-20 to lift the trophy.

The Olympic bronze medal winning shuttler, comfortably pocketed the first set as the world no 35 looked hapless to put up any serious challenge in front of the Indian.

The $700,000 China Open Super Series Premier is Saina's second Super Series title this year, as she clinched the Australian Open in June.

Though, in the second set Yamaguchi upped her game and took the lead of four points at one stage, as the score read 13-9 in her favour . But then Saina levelled the score at 14-14.

As the match progressed both the players started playing at par with each other. However once the match reached 20 all, Nehwal used her experience with good effect and finish the game and match to win the prestigious title.

Immediately after her win, former India skipper Anil Kumble took to micro-blogging site Twitter to congratulate the shuttler.
