India's top squash player Dipika Pallikal breezed past Harshit Kaur Jawanda 3-0 to enter the quarterfinals of the JSW Indian Squash Challenger Circuit here on Sunday.

Dipika Pallikal enters quarters of JSW Squash

Chennai: India's top squash player Dipika Pallikal breezed past Harshit Kaur Jawanda 3-0 to enter the quarterfinals of the JSW Indian Squash Challenger Circuit here on Sunday.

Pallikal packed off Jawanda 11-6 11-4 11-3 in 29 minutes.

The event is the fourth and final leg of the Circuit.

In another match, Lakshya Ragavendran got past compatriot Aparajitha Balamurukan 14-12 11-9 4-11 12-10.

Asian Games gold medallist Harinder Pal Sandhu also showed his mettle in the men's singles by fighting his way past Pakistan's Ahsan Ayaz 11-4 11-7 8-11 9-11 11-7 in a marathon match lasting 81 minutes.

"It was indeed a very hard fought match. I should have sealed it up at 3-0, nevertheless I am happy emerging victorious," said Sandhu.

India's Ravi Dixit and Kush Kumar also emerged victorious beating Velavan Senthilkumar and Lance Beddoes of New Zealand respectively.
