==================================================================================== BANGA BEATS vs MUMBAI MASTERS Match 4: Score was once again levelled 2-2 between Mumbai Masters and Banga Beats when Marc Zwiebler defeated Banga Beats' Hu Yun 17-21 21-17 11-6. Mumbai Masters looked in some sort of trouble when Hun Yun won the first game. But then Zwiebler surprised his opponent with some superb stroke-play and won the crucial match for his side. Match 3: Banga Beats took the lead in their contest against Mumbai Masters when in the men's doubles, Carsten Mogensen/Akshay Dewalkar of Banga Beats pummelled Pranav Chopra/Manu Attri of Mumbai Masters 21-13 21-12. Banga Beats now lead Mumbai Masters 2-1 with a men's singles and a mixed doubles still to be played. Match 2: It was another interesting match where Taipei`s Tai Tzu stunned three-time All England Champion and 11th ranked Tine Baun 21-17 21-18 in the women's singles match to level the tie 1-1. Baun was probably looking unfit as she wasn't covering the court well as a result of which her opponent made her run to all the corners and often surprised Baun with some superb deceptive strokes. Match 1: So we have a major upset from the Indian Badminton League where Russian Vladimir Ivanov is playing for Mumbai Masters stunned ace Indian shuttler Parupalli Kashyap from Banga Beats in straight games. Banga Beats now lead 1-0 against Mumbai Masters. SET 2: However in the second game, Kashyap was back in his groove when he was leading 5-2 initially and went on to extend it to 7-2 by the end of the first break. Ivanov tried his best to reduce the lead and finally succeeded in reducing it to 8-9. With consecutive winners, Kashyap took a four-point lead at the end of the second break – 14-10. Both the players further displayed some superb play, and Ivanov reduced his deficit to 15-17. Ivanov went on to equalise score at 18-18. And it was the turning point of the second game as Ivanov won the match 21-18 after Kashyap made back-to-back unforced errors. SET 1: Parupalli Kashyap was up against his Russian opponent Vladimir Ivanov and was looking in a good position by before the second break where he was leading 12-9. But then Ivanov made a comeback and levelled the score at 12-12 and then took the lead at 14-12 by the end of the second break. After some competitive play, the scores were levelled at 17-17. Both the players won a point each after which Ivanov won three consecutive points to seal the first game 21-18. ==================================================================================== HYDERABAD HOTSHOTS vs AWADHE WARRIORS Hyderabad Hotshots beats Awadhe Warriors 3-2 Match5: Goh and Gadre beats Kido and Sapsiree Set3:In the final and deciding set, both the teams played some breathtaking badminton. But at the end Hyderabad Hotshots managed to win the deciding set by 11-8. And with this third set win Hyderabad Hotshots beat Awadhe Warriors 3-2. Set2:In the second set Kido and Sapsiree fought hard. The pair showed real temperament to sustain in the game by winning the set 21-19. Set 1: The Hyderabadi pair of Goh and Gadre won the first set very comfortably by 21-9. They used their smashes with goof effect and kept the opponents under immense pressure. ==================================================================================== Match 4: Srikanth defeats Jayaram Set 2: After trailing by more than five points Srikanth made a rollicking comeback in the second set and won it by 21-19. Which means now the tie is 2-2 between Awadhe Warriors and Hyderabad Hotshots after four games and whoever will win the final set will win the tie. Set 1: By using his down-the-line smashes with good effect Srikanth managed to win the first set 21-17. Jayram though played well overall but his net play was not up to the mark in the set and he paid its price by losing the set. ==================================================================================== Match 3: Mathias Boe and Markis Kido beats Khim Wah and V Shem Goh 21-13, 21-20 Set 2: Finally, the men’s doubles team of Awadhe Warriors won two back-to-back sets. In the second set which was a thrilling one, as it reached 20-20, Boe and Kido snatched the last point point to make this fight alive. Set 1: After losing first two games Awadhe Warriors have to win the next three games to win this tie against Hyderabad Hotshots. In the first set pair of Boe and Kido just done that by winning the first set by 21-13. ==================================================================================== Match 2 Saina defeats Sindhu 21-19, 21-8 Set 2: Saina has been using her experience against Sindhu. Saina has started playing more aggressively. Sindhu is being looking more impatient in this set and started doing a lot of unforced errors. After first break Saina has been leading the set by 7-4. Saina has taken the crucial lead of seven points and took the score to 12-5. Saina has been playing an all-round game by mixing her smashes and drops. And before the second break Sindhu is trailing 6-14. Even after coming back from the break Saina is making her grip even better in the match. And finally the Indian badminton queen has won the much hyped match against Sindhu in straight sets by 21-19, 21-8. Set 1: Saina Nehwal took the first two points of the match but then PV Sindhu made a comeback and took four consecutive points. Sindhu took the lead of 7-3 before the first break. After the first break Saina came back hard on Sindhu and equaled the score 9-9. Sindhu has been looking more interested in rallies. After the score line of 9-9, Sindhu again took four points consecutively. Before going for the second break Sindhu was leading by four points with the score-line of 10-14. But once again Saina has made a comeback by equaling the score 15-15. Saina has started avoiding rallies. Both are showcasing wonderful badminton skills. And finally after trailing Saina fought back hard and won the first set 21-19. ==================================================================================== Match 1: Tanongsak defeats Guru 15-21, 21-14, 11-9 Set 3: The race to 11 points has begun and Guru gets the lead. Tanongsak pulled one point back to level the game at 1-1. Tanongsak again took the lead and Guru immediately wiped the deficit. The break was taken as the Indian took a lead of 6-4. Tanongsak drew level at 8-8. Another mistake from Guru handed his opponent the lead. Match point for Tanongsak and a wide shot from Guru gives the set and the match to the Thai (11-9). Set 2: After the break, play recommenced. Guru took the lead but surrendered it after making an error. The Thai seemed to have learned from the first set and even after the Indian had reduced the lead to just one point (2-3), the former cruised to 7-2 lead. Finance Minister of India P Chidambaram is among the crowd. Tanongsak is not giving away anything as he storms to a lead of 11-5. However, Guru responds in an emphatic fashion by reducing the gap to just two points (11-9). The second break was taken with Tanongsak leading 14-10. And Tanongsak levels the match by taking the second game 21-14. The match goes the third and final set where the first one to 11 points will be declared as the winner. Set 1: Guru Sai Dutt of Hyderabad began the contest in style and took a lead of 5-0 before Tanongsak won his first point. A drop shot and Dutt stretched his lead to 7-2 before the first one-minute break was taken. Tanongsak took the next two points and reduced the gap to just three points. Dutt responded with a brilliant smash to go 8-4. The 23-year-old Thai steadily came back into the match and reduced the gap to just one point (9-8) before hitting a smash wide. The second break was taken as Dutt cruised to a 14-10 lead. Guru took the first point after the second break. Dutt continued to sail with the momentum and took the first set 21-15. #The players are out in the middle. PV Sindhu leads the Awadhe Warriors while Saina Nehwal leads Hyderabad Hotshots.
