Indian lifters continued their gold rush with two more yellow metals out of four medals they won on the penultimate day in the Commonwealth Youth and Junior Weightlifting Championships at Penang, Malaysia.

won on the penultimate day today in the Commonwealth Youth and Junior Weightlifting Championships at Penang, Malaysia. India have so far won 18 medals, including eight gold. On the first day on Monday, India had won seven gold and another seven yesterday. Today, Mangte P Kom and Rajinder Chaitanya won the gold in junior men`s 69kg category and youth boy`s 85kg respectively. Kom lifted a total of 178kg (77+101) while Chaitanya made a combined effort of 249kg (110+139). Minal Vishe won a silver in junior men`s 75kg with a total lift of 165 (75+90) while Anup Deo Toppo added another silver in junior men`s 77kg category with an effort of 289kg (125+164). PTI
