Indian students eye the Great American Bicycle RideNew Delhi: Indian students have a great chance to participate in the Great American Bicycle Ride (GABR), as Inme, a pioneering outdoor and adventure-based learning company, has opened the registrations process for the cycling expedition along the West coast of the US.

A first of its kind expedition for children in the 14-17 years age-group, GABR is a challenging and awe-inspiring journey, wherein children cycle from Seattle to San Francisco covering 1100 km over 21 days. The expedition will take place from May 17 to June 9.

The expedition route designed by experts, have participants cycle through mountains, plains and challenging uphill stretches in rough weather to test their stamina and mettle.

During this expedition children bike and hike through the Giant Redwood forest in California which has some of the tallest and oldest trees in the world, sand-board on the dunes at the Sand Master Park in Oregon and camp at 19 different locations along the Pacific coast.

A unique feature of this year`s GABR expedition will be exploratory visits to premier universities in California which fall on the cycling route.

These visits will help participants understand what it takes to be a student at some of the top universities in the world.

Inme will also organise sessions for students with leading Silicon Valley entrepreneurs giving them a platform to interact with these leaders and learn about their ideas and how they set up their businesses.
