It`s Poojashree vs Emily in the ITF final

New Delhi: Poojashree Venkatesh came from behind to beat former national champion Isha Lakhani today and set up a title clash against last week`s winner and top seed Briton Emily-Webley Smith in the USD 10,000 ITF Futures event here.Second seed Poojashree scored a 5-7, 6-2, 6-4 semifinal win over compatriot Isha at the DLTA Complex.

The road was not easy for Emily either as she staved off stiff competition from Slovakian Dalila Jakupovic before registering a 7 6(4), 4-6, 6-2 win in the other semifinal. With the semifinal win, Poojashree kept herself in contention of another title after combining with left-handed Sanaa Bhambri to clinch the doubles title, outplaying Nova Patel and Rishika Sunkara 6-2, 6-1 in the final.
