London Paralympics-bound players call on Haryana CM

Seven players from Haryana who have qualified for Paralympic Games in London called on the Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda at his New Delhi residence.

Chandigarh: Seven players from Haryana who have qualified for Paralympic Games in London on Sunday called on the Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda at his New Delhi residence.
The players -- Amit Saroha (discus throw), Gyanendra Singh Ghanghas (long jump), Jaideep Singh (discus throw), Amit Kumar (long jump), Jagmendra (discus throw), Narender (javelin throw) and Vijay Kumar (javelin throw) -- were accompanied by General Secretary of Haryana Paralympic Committee Giri Raj. These players made it to the Paralympics in the Qualifier held in Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia from April 23 to 27. Hooda congratulated the players on qualifying for London Paralympics. He asked them to work hard and give good performance in London and thereby bring good name to their family, state and the country. Giri Raj said that out of 14 players who have qualified for London Paralympics, seven are from Haryana. Coach of these players, Naval Singh was also present. PTI
