Mangaonkar, Saai Meera enter semis

Mumbai: Local boy and top seed Mahesh Mangaonkar reached the semi finals of the boys under 19 and 17 categories of the Rs 2.69-lakh prize money All India Little Masters Junior Squash Tournament, organized and hosted by Willingdon Sports Club, Mahalaxmi on Friday.

Showing good stamina Mahesh defeated Vishesh Wanvari 11-4, 11-3, 11-3 in the under-19 quarter finals and then outclassed Nikhil Makhija 11-2, 11-4, 11-4 in the under 17 event.Tamil Nadu’s second seed Saai Meera also reached the girls under 19 semi finals after edging out local girl Namrata Purohit 9-11, 11-2, 11-3, 5-11, 11-5 in the quarter finals.
