Fu will face either defending champion Ronnie O`Sullivan or Ricky Walden in the quarter-finals.
Fu`s previous 147s came against Ken Doherty at the Scottish Masters in 2000 and in World Open qualifying in January 2012, when Matt Selt was his opponent.
Earlier, Shaun Murphy reached the last eight with a 6-5 win over Mark Selby.
