Mumbai: Mumbai will host the World Series Hockey final at the revamped MHA Mahindra Stadium on April 2, it was announced on Wednesday.
The MHA Mahindra Stadium was chosen out of eight venues across India based on the feedback from the players playing in the league that the quality of the turf and floodlights is superb. The final will start at 9:00pm. The swanky MHA Stadium will also host the second semi-final to be played on April 1 at 9pm while Karnataka will host the first semi-final at the KSHA Stadium, Bengaluru, at 7pm on the same day. "The response from the fans has been overwhelming at all the eight venues, but we had to finally zero in on two venues for the Semi-finals and Final. WSH wanted to give the best makeover to the MHA Mahindra Stadium, and we are pleased that the players are very happy with the quality of the turf and the floodlights," Preeti Mehta, Event Director of the WSH said.
