Talukdar, Champia to spearhead Indian challenge

Olympians Jayanta Talukdar and Mangal Singh Champia will lead the Indian challenge in the fourth Asian Archery Grand Prix championship commencing at the SAI Eastern Centre here from September 16.

Besides Talukdar and Champia, Rahul Banerjee will be in the three-member men’s recurve squad, while the women’s team consists of Dola Banerjee, Rimil Buriuly and Reena Kumari.C Srither, Chungda Sherpa and Jayantilal Ninama complete the men’s compound squad, while India’s women compound team has Jhano Hansdah, Manjudha Soy and Namita Yadav, an Archery Association of India (AAI) release said today.Besides hosts, the four-day event will be participated by eight other countries - Iran, Nepal, Bangladesh, Scotland, Singapore, Hong Kong, Northern Ireland and Bhutan.
