Tenvic to create module for TTFI`s coaches` training program

Anil Kumble`s company Tenvic will be creating a module for the Table Tennis Federation of India (TTFI) that will produce quality coaches in the years to come.

New Delhi: Former India captain Anil Kumble`s company Tenvic will be creating a module for the Table Tennis Federation of India (TTFI) that will produce quality coaches in the years to come.
The company will be creating content for a three-tier "Certified Trainers` Course" in which aspiring coaches will get state-of-the-art training to become table tennis coaches.
"The basic ideology of Tenvic is to put structure to sport. We want people at the grass-root level to have an easy access to top-class facilities which will help them in being competitive," Kumble said on Thursday. The champion leg-spinner informed that India`s No 1 paddler Achanta Sharath Kamal is also a part of the project. "Sharath is a part of our project and he will be taking care of the domain. I have always been fascinated by Olympic sports since the time I was a part of the Indian contingent for the Commonwealth Games in Kuala Lumpur in 1998. I enjoyed watching Kamlesh Mehta play and also watched hockey matches and badminton matches featuring Madhumita Bisht and P Gopichand," Kumble fondly recollected. His partner and former TT player Vasanth Bharadwaj said, "Our endeavour will be to provide world-class content and build video-based manuals which will be a fulcrum for training the trainers. Our aim is to increase the competence level of Indian coaches so that we can even export coaches. "We will have a three-tier system where Level-III will aim at fundamentals while Level-II will aim at producing coaches who will train higher age-groups. The Level-I will be the one which will produce coaches to train those who want to take up the game at a competitive level," Bharadwaj said. PTI
