Aurangabad: Two brothers from Aurangabad, Naeem and Rais Shabbir Khan, claim to have created a Guinness World Record in taekwondo by hitting 37,161 full contact kicks in one hour.
The Khan brothers say they created the record at the LP Community Hall, Hyderabad on April 21, 2013. The rare feat was earlier executed by the Cobh Martial Art Academy of Ireland, UK, which had a record of 32,428 kicks on its name. Speaking to media, Rais Khan said, "Since childhood I had a penchant for martial arts and despite weak financial conditions I took it as challenge and now achieved the feat. In future I would try to improve it with my brother Naeem. I thank our chief mentor Jayanth Reddy and the academy that helped us set the Guinness World Record." PTI
