Celebrity Cricket League– a ‘Super-Hit’ show in the making !!!

Sharjah: In a star-studded event, the Celebrity Cricket League – Season 2 was underway on Friday (13th January) and with all the superstars of Bollywood, Kollywood and Tollywood coming together for a game of cricket, the hit factor had to be high. The first game of tournament was a thrilling tie between Mumbai Heroes and Telugu Warriors in Sharjah. Small screen favourite, Varun Badola was the star for Mumbai as the Delhi Sonnet club alumni scored 60 runs and picked up two important wickets as well. For Telugu Warriors, Akhil also came up with an identical performance scoring 60 and getting two scalps. The second game, featuring Chennai Rhinos and Mumbai Heroes, saw the Bollywood stars getting better of their Kollywood counterparts. Wicket-keeper Raja Bhelwani scored 52 runs. The third match of the edition saw Karnataka Bulldozers demolishing new entrants Bengal Tigers. The Karnataka outfit scored a mammoth 252 runs courtesy Rajeev’s whirlwind 46-ball 91 and Bhaskar’s 40-ball 75. But again, this is Celebrity Cricket League and the star attractions had to be the celebrities on the sidelines cheering for their team. For Mumbai Heroes it was Genelia D`souza who was going berserk supporting her team along with Kangana Ranaut. Though, Salman Khan was the biggest draw at Sharjah supporting Mumbai. Riya Sen turned up for Bengal Tigers whereas Charmi was seen supporting Telugu Warriors passionately. Within just three days, the CCL has been a hit and with all the stars pouring in like this, CCL will go viral for sure!!!
