Pacers` center Mahinmi to miss 6-8 weeks

The Indiana Pacers were dealt another injury blow on Sunday, announcing that French center Ian Mahinmi will miss six to eight weeks with a left foot injury.

Mahinmi suffered the injury in the first half of the Pacers` NBA defeat at Sacramento on Friday.

It`s a blow for the team that had just welcomed the return from injury of Roy Hibbert and David West.

Mahinmi had stepped in to fill the big man role when starting center Hibbert was out with an ankle injury and has averaged 4.9 points and 5.8 rebounds per game this season.

With his absence, backup Lavoy Allen is expected to see increased minutes behind Hibbert.
