New Delhi: One of tennis fraternity's greatest ever player Roger Federer notched another feather to his cap after becoming the first man to win 300 Grand Slam matches.

The 17-time Grand Slam champion beat Grigor Dimitrov 6-4 3-6 6-1 6-4 to take out his third round encounter and advance to the fourth, in the ongoing Australian Open being held in Melbourne.

The Swiss ace will next face David Goffin in the fourth round.
