Birthday boy Mahesh Bhupathi clinch French Open mixed doubles title with Sania Mirza

Paris: Mahesh celebrated his 38th birthday in style when he and Sania Mirza clinched the French Open 2012 mixed doubles title steamrolling the Mexican-Polish pair of Santiago Gonzalez and Klaudia Jans-Ignacik in straight sets (7-6, 6-1). After the win Sania said, “Mahesh Bhupathi is the best doubles player ever and I am is fortunate to play alongside him.” "Last year I was a runner-up in the women's doubles so I'm delighted to finally get a Roland Garros trophy." "It is my partner's birthday today so now I don't have to think of a gift to give him," Mirza added . Mahesh also added, “This is my First Grand Slam title after I became a father, my 4-month old daughter will be watching this and this is for her.”
