New Delhi: In what could be a huge delight for Indian tennis fans, two stalwarts of the game – Leander Paes and Mahesh Bhupathi could be seen playing together in upcoming Rio Olympics 2016.

According to sources of CNN News 18, the duo met few days ago in Mumbai where both of them expressed their willingness to play together.

Not to forget, the duo has represented India in several Olympics. However, in 2012, Bhupathi refused to pair up with Paes, post which they were not on talking terms for several years.

Paes had to pair with Vishnu Vardhan at the London Olympics 2012 after Bhupathi and Rohan Bopanna refused to play with him at the quadrennial event.

Paes, who won an Olympic medal in 1996 Atlanta Olympics, is hoping to set a world record by becoming the only tennis player to play seven Olympic Games.
