Maria Sharapova lauds team after Fed Cup progress
2015 Australian Open finalist Maria Sharapova was seen in her best form once again as she defeated Poland`s Agnieszka Radwanska 6-1, 7-5 to give Russia an unassailable 3-0 lead against Poland. Russia were through to the Fed Cup semis in Krakow.

New Delhi: 2015 Australian Open finalist Maria Sharapova was seen in her best form once again as she defeated Poland`s Agnieszka Radwanska 6-1, 7-5 to give Russia an unassailable 3-0 lead against Poland. Russia were through to the Fed Cup semis in Krakow.
The European powerhouse won the dead doubles rubber also and sealed the tie 4-0.
The tennis ace had earlier beaten Urszula Radwanska on Saturday. Veteran Svetlana Kuznetsova also beat Agnieszka Radwanska on Saturday to hand Russia a much needed lead.
Sharapova stated on Sunday that she was proud of her team and the effort they put in during the weekend. She posted her views on social micro-blogging site, Twitter.

She also said it was a great experience having all the much needed support.

Meanwhile, Andy Murray also took on to Twitter on Sunday expressing his disagreement on the pitch condition in the Fed Cup clash between Italy and France. Murray stated that the court used in the game was a disgrace.
Italy and France are tied 2-2 and the fixture will be decided in a tie-breaker.
