New Delhi: Indian tennis player Rohan Bopanna's stint with doubles partner Daniel Nestor has come to an end after having played together as men's doubles on the court for less than a year.

The decison comes after a first round exit in the Miami Open. Canada's Daniel Nestor has been one of the most successful doubles players in the history of the game winning 12 Grand Slam titles in men's and mixed section.

Alongside Bopanna the duo won two ATP career titles with both coming in 2015. They won the Sydney International in January followed by the Dubai Tennis Championships.

Bopanna stated on Saturday that he will be partnering Romania's 30-year-old Florin Mergea. Florin is ranked 17th in men's doubles rankings and has won only three career ATP titles. Bopanna said that he will be playing alongside Florin from Monday.
