Talking about his stay in India, Rafa said that the crowd was very passionate and he enjoys visiting the country.

New Delhi: Despite players like Leander Paes and Sania Mirza performing exceptionally well in doubles, India's wait for its first singles Grand Slam champion continues.

When asked whether India will ever have a singles champion, Spain's Rafael Nadal said that it's about time and about investing in the right people.

Speaking to Times Now, the 14-time Grand Slam champion said, "That's only a question of time in my opinion. Invest on the right projects, invest on the right people. It's very important in human quality for being decisive in success. At the same time, have players like Leander. He is a great inspiration for the kids all over India. They see the passion that Leander has on court, all the success that he has. When you have champions close to you, you believe more in yourself."

The might Spaniard was leading the Spanish team which was in national capital to play the Davis Cup.

Talking about his stay in India, Rafa said that the crowd was very passionate and he enjoys being in India.

"Is has been a great experience. It's always a pleasure to be back here in India. I have been here few times in my life. I enjoyed every time. The crowd is very passionate and I enjoy a lot," said the 30-year-old.

One of the greatest ever to have played the game, Nadal has lately been off-colour where he has been battling injuries which have hampered his dominance on the court.
