North Bengal Development minister Gautam Deb on Thrusday said the state government and the Trinamool Congress will resist any attempt to divide the state and create Gorkhaland and alleged that BJP was "hatching a conspiracy to foment trouble" across Bengal on the issue.
Alleging that TMC government in West Bengal was conspiring to kill him after he announced support to BJP in Lok Sabha elections in Darjeeling, GJM chief Bimal Gurung Monday said he was "ready to die" for Gorkhaland.
Sending out a strong message against bifurcation of the state, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said Darjeeling is an integral part of it and blamed GJM of trying to play divisive politics without bothering about the development of the hills.
