Suspected insurgents of banned National Liberation Front of Tripura (NLFT) have abducted 11 persons from Amchurmukh, near Rajivnagar in Mamit district of neighbouring Mizoram, a senior police official said on Saturday.
Ahead of the Mizoram assembly elections, at least three people were kidnapped by the outlawed tribal guerillas from a village in Mamit district of western Mizoram, police said Monday.
Bodies of 2 soldiers from Mizoram, who were killed with 6 other Indian Army personnel by terrorists in Srinagar, were flown home on Thursday and accorded full military honours, official sources said.
Three persons, including two timber merchants, had been abducted by the outlawed National Liberation Front of Tripura (NLFT).
