Three Chinese astronauts safely returned to Earth today after a 15-day trip to a proposed space lab set to be ready by 2020, marking the latest success for China`s manned space programme.
China Tuesday began its longest manned space mission with the launch of the Shenzhou-10 rocket.
China is expected to send its second woman astronaut into space this year on-board the Shenzhou-10, the country`s new manned spacecraft, which should be launched sometime between June and August.
China plans to launch another manned spacecraft including a woman astronaut on board in June next year for a fortnight-long mission to conduct experiments in space station being built to rival Russian Mir station.
