The Calcutta HC on Tuesday issued a contempt notice to West Bengal Minister Becharam Manna for allegedly making derogatory comments against judiciary.

The gazette notification of the
Singur Bill, scrapping the previous Left Front government`s
deal with Tata Motors to return land to `unwilling` farmers,
was made on Tuesday.
The Bill was passed in the Assembly, amid a walkout by
the Opposition Left parties, by voice vote along with some
amendments brought by the government.
Mamata has announced to return the 400 acre to unwilling farmers and the remaining nearly 600 acre for industry.
The West Bengal government will table a bill in the Assembly on Tuesday seeking to revoke the Singur lease agreement with the Tatas and take back the land leased to them.
The Bill would seek to revoke the lease agreement between the Tatas and WBIDC.
