Actor Parambrata Chatterjee of `Kahaani` fame says he always wanted to direct a sports-based film. "Sports film is such an interesting assignment! A group of 14-15 people react to the team`s fortunes. Sometimes they dream, sometimes they wallow in frustration and sometimes they celebrate, isn`t it interesting?" Parambrata, who is currently shooting for his third directorial venture `Larai` said.
First-time director Zaid Ali Khan, currently awaiting the release of his sports-drama `Khwaabb`, says though making a sports-based film is challenging, it can provide all the elements required to make a screenplay gripping.
Filmmaker Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, known for his directorials like `Rang De Basanti` and `Delhi 6`, confesses that his last release `Bhaag Milkha Bhaag` was one of the most challenging films that he had ever attempted.
Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, who is all set to release his film, ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’, based on the life of former athlete Milkha Singh, said that the film was not based on sports and could have been on anybody in an endeavour to show the human spirit.
