Bigg Boss 11 winner Shilpa Shinde and Sunil Grover come together for a digital show

New Delhi: Comedian Sunil Grover and Bigg Boss 11 winner Shilpa Shinde are all set to star in a new web show that will be produced by the Simoes sisters, Preeti and Neeti, reports a leading daily.

Confirming the news, a source told indianexpress.com, “In a time when makers are scared to launch new shows during IPL, Preeti and Neeti have decided to dive straight into the ocean during the cricket season. They are working on a one-of-a-kind show for the digital world that will bring together cricket and comedy. Sunil and Shilpa will play commentators and discuss the on-going IPL matches. It would be along the lines of extra innings, only it would be much more fun and entertaining. Both Sunil and Shilpa have liked the idea and seem quite excited.”

The reports further stated that the team is finalising the script now, post which there would be a monetary discussion with Sunil and Shilpa. The makers will make the news official only when the two actors sign the contracts. While several digital platforms have been approached for the show, IPL being a Star India property, the show would most probably stream on Star's digital platform, Hotstar.

While Sunil Grover has hosted many shows in the past, this would be a new thing for Shilpa Shinde. Earlier, Shilpa was rumoured to be a part of the Kapil Sharma Show but her debacle with the makers of 'Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hain' and the ban by CINTAA stopped her from being a part of the show.

Shilpa had the most entertaining yet emotional journey inside the Bigg Boss house. Even inside the house, she had expressed her desire to host a show but the actress was clear about not featuring in a daily show.

Sunil, on the other hand, opened up about working with Kapil Sharma recently after a rather embarrassing war of words with him on Twitter. The actor told a daily,"I don't want to live in imagination. This is a very hypothetical question and actually, I don't have an answer. I think it's not the right time to answer this. I have work right now and I want to concentrate on it."

Be it the innocence of Gutthi or the antics of Dr Mashoor Gulati or the cuteness of Runku Bhabhi, Sunil Grover has always tickled people's funny bone almost effortlessly. It would be interesting to see both Shilpa and Sunil sharing a screen space.
