Mumbai: Kangana Ranaut, who had stunned many bigwigs in the industry by calling Karan Johar the flag bearer of nepotism, took a jibe at the Bollywood producer-director yet again, reports suggest.
The beauty from Himachal will soon make an appearance on India’s Next Superstar, a new TV show jointly hosted by Karan Johar and Rohit Shetty. She has already shot an episode for them and had least inhibitions sharing the stage with Johar, who had dragged the debate on nepotism a little too far.
According to a report in India.com, the three time National Film Award winning actress got an opportunity to take a jibe at Johar during the show, when the two played the game ‘How well do you know each other’.
When Ranaut was asked what Johar serves his guests on his talk show, without mincing her words, the fearless lady said, “Zeher pilata hai mujhse puchho”. (He serves poison, ask me). Well, that must have been a friendly jibe given the fact that they decided to share the stage after such an ugly war of words last year. And we are sure Karan must have had something equally blunt to say to her in response.
Talking about her appearance in the show, Kangana said, “I am looking forward to being on the show. It is a professional commitment for which I’m being paid. What is delightful is that Karan is okay with doing the show with me and seems to be slowly warming up to me.”
Interestingly, the tagline of the show emphasises on the fact that only talent matters to succeed in the industry and not family connections or recommendations.
This is exactly what Kangana would genuinely appreciate! Are we right Karan?
